It's been such a long time since I have posted on here, far to long! I had taken a break from everything I guess you could say, an unexpected break that wasn't really planned, it just happened.

When I first started this blog and my youtube channel I planned to post at least once a week on both sites. However I didn't anticipate how much school at the time and more recently college and work would get in the way of things! It's been manic going college 5 days a week and working both days and often in the week at work, however in a few months I am going to be finishing college and thought I would try and get back on track now!

New Camera
I have recently purchased a new camera, which in all honestly has been one of the main reasons that has made me want to get back on track. Although it shouldn't be about the equipment you own, but the passion that you have for doing something you love so much. However as a self confessed perfectionist, its hard to post something that you don't love and know that the quality is poor. I have contemplated getting the Nikon D53000 for quite a few months and finally decided to purchase it! I can honestly say that it was the best decision, the camera quality is amazing. I feel as this is almost a new start now. I can finally post things that I love and be proud of them, rather than being afraid and embarrassed in case anyone saw them.

If you didn't know already I made a Instagram account for my youtube channel not too long ago. Not very many people I know knew about my youtube channel and blog, other than family and a few friends before now. However somehow quite a few people have found my Instagram lately which has no doubt led them to my channel. I can honestly say I couldn't care less! Which is such a jump from last year where I would dread anyone I knew finding it. It is something that I enjoy doing in my free time and I have learnt that I shouldn't let anyone stop me from doing something that I love.

So expect to see a lot more of me on here and on youtube :)

The day had final arrived! Yesterday was the 20th of August 2015, the day I received my results from my GCSE's that I had previously sat at the beginning of the year. Knowing that that past 12 years of schools all came down to 11 small letters printed on a piece of paper was beyond me, this made me very anxious to receive them... My main goal was to pass English and Maths, this is due to the fact that in England if your English or Maths grade is at a D or bellow you have to retake the subject at college. This is something that I did not want to have to do, as the classes run when you would normally have free periods. I waned to have time to myself in the day and in my free periods to do things that I enjoy or that are related to the subjects that I had chosen. Personally I had self doubt that I was going to pass the two subjects.

I went into my school on my own as my boyfriend was sat in the car waiting, as there were no parking spaces. I went in and saw a few of my friends, we talk for a while, when in fact I was almost putting off going to collect my results. I finally thought to myself that there is no point waiting, I couldn't change the grades that were printed on the piece of paper now. I walked over to the table where my results were laid out, at this point I wasn't worried at all, I just wanted to open them to see what I had achieved.
The first thing I looked for was to see what grade I got in both Maths and English...
I Passed!

I came away with:
A - Art
B - Media
B - Textiles
B - Business studies
B - Drama
C - Maths
C - English Literature
C - English Language
C - Science (core)
C - Science (additional)
C - Religious studies

I am overall happy with my results and can't wait for the next step to college...

I plan to go to college as I feel that it is more suited to the way I learn and what I am looking for in education, rather than a six for which is similar to being in school.
The courses I have chosen are:
Textiles
Creative Media (Print based)
Business Studies
Photography

These are all subjects that I am passionate about and would like to have a career involving them after college.

I am happy with my results I have achieved and I am in no way bragging.
No matter what you grades you came out with, there are always back up options that you can take. Don't be disheartened by your results, if they aren't what you hoped they would be!

Before I received my results my parents both told me that from the day they left college to now they have not once been asked what GCSE results when applying for a job! Although some teachers put pressure on us and tell us this is one of your most important parts of your lives and that these results will stay with you forever, you can get a job without having high grade GCSE's!!

I hope you are all happy with your results! Let me know if anyone has done a post similar to this, I would love to know you opinions on it too!

Hello :) Long time no blog... aha

So I haven't been blogging much recently, due to a very busy summer!! I plan to get back on track and more organised as I am going to be going to collage soon in September.
So this summer has been very busy and at least to say one of the best yet! This year has been amazing , I have done so many things that I didn't think I would, or even expect. It has been jam packed with trips, festivals, work and many days out!

My summer so far has consisted of:

Cornwall

Spending a week in Cornwall with my boyfriend and his family, As they rent out a large cottage every year. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go last year, so i guess it made it extra special this year! My boyfriend and his family had a few extra days before I arrived, as at this point I was still studying for some of my final exams and had revision sessions to attend. When I had been to my final revision session, I got the train down to meet them. We had days out to local towns and visited many places! Then where we were staying was right on the beach, so every night we waled along the beach, went in the sand dunes and explored the cove and caves.

Italy

I went on a family holiday to Italy for a week, which will most likely would have been our last family holiday that all 4 of us would go on together. This is due to the fact as my older Brother is going traveling for a year in 2016, and I will be at collage. We will most likely have holidays together in the future, but maybe with extra people and not just the 4 of us.
The holiday was great and we had loads of fun! When we were there we had an idea that I could film short clips of the holiday then put them into a video that i could post onto my Youtube channel.

Here is what the outcome looked like -

MTV Festival

I went to a Two day MTV festival with one of my friends! We didn't stay over night as we were able to get transport home every night. It was loads of fun and we managed to get to the front on the second day. I filmed a get ready with me video for the festival and managed to get a small amount of footage for the first day.

Boardmasters Festival

I also attended Boardmasters Festival, which if you are unfamiliar is a 4 day long festival that takes place every year in Newquay, Cornwall. Its called Boardmasters as during the day there are Surfing and Skateboarding competitions that take place on the local beaches. During the days we went into town, went to the aquarium and visited the local beaches. While in the evening we went to watch people preform such as: Raleigh Ritchie, Blonde, Lethal Bizzle, Rudimental, Faithless.
I also met so many some amazing people and created unforgettable memories that will stay with me forever!

Stratford

My Boyfriend and I traveled to Stratford to spend time with some of his family, unfortunately we could only spend two nights there as we both had work. Never less we had a fantastic time, we went shopping visited a Butterfly Farm and spent quality time with his relatives. This was lovely as we dont get to see them much as they dont live near to us.

Learning to Drive?

As I am still 16 years old I can't legally drive on the road yet, but as my birthday is coming up my parents decided it would be a good idea to do a few lessons on a local 16+ off road driving course. This was to help me to become somewhat familiar with driving before going onto the road and become a little more confident than i would be if I didn't have the lessons.

These are the larger events that have happened in my Summer, never the less I have had many great times that I haven't mentioned and I am every bit grateful of all the people that I spent them with and the fact that I was able to do them!

Hi there :)

I'm so sorry that it has been so long since I have posted anything on here or on Youtube, it's  just that all my free time at the moment has been taken up by either revision, work or generally seeing people who are close to me. I have also been quite stressed at the moment due to exams and deadlines and decided i didn't want to upload as I knew I wouldn't be happy with the content.

Although i still have more exams yet to sit, I will soon be blogging and uploading more. This is because I only have four more exams to go, after that I will be off for summer. So expect to see a lot more of me :D aha

So as many of you will know how stressful times can be while being a student in year 11, i thought I might give you some revision tips and how to stay focused...

Find a technique that works best for you whether it's siting in you room on your own, or whether it's with friends at school, what ever way suits you best.
Personally I find it easier to study alone at home where there are no one to distract me and I can decide when I need a break, while others might decide that they prefer to be at school and have a set routine of when they have breaks etc...

My school have decided to not give this years year 11's Study leave.' Study leave means that when you finish a subject you don't have to attend that lesson and can stay at home, then only come in for the lessons which you still have exams left for. This is unfortunate for me as I concentrate better at home instead of being in a classroom surrounded by my friends.

As I have to stay in school all day now and have finished the majority of my exams I have many 'Free periods' (this is when you have finished the subject and have a free hour to revise for another subject) to keep my self focused in these lesson I usually listen to music while I work, this gives me motivation and keeps me on track.
I will do another post on my favourite play list soon :)

Here are the Exams I have completed so far:
Art
Drama
Textiles
Business
Ict
Ethics
English
Maths (paper 1)

The Exams I have yet to complete:
Maths (paper 2)
Science (module  3)
Science (module 4)
Media

I hope EVERYONE gets the exam results they need to get into college!

The subjects I have chosen for College:
Textiles
Photography
Creative Media (Print based)
Business

Good luck and I shall see you soon
